Manila Chinese Cemetery is located in Aurora Boulevard, Manila, Luzon, Philippines and it is one of the attractions in Manila. It is the second oldest cemetery in Manila designed as the resting place for the Chinese people who were not allowed to take burial in Catholic cemeteries in Manila.  



This cemetery is quiet and very peaceful. When you get there be sure to hire a tour guide inside the cemetery because it is huge and you might get lost. You can pay the tour guide around Php 200.00 but it is still negotiable. 


Among of the cemetery’s landmarks are:


  • Chong Hock Tong Temple where it was built in 1850s and is the oldest temple in manila; 
  • Liat See Tong (Martyrs Hall) – where Chinese leaders being buried in this hall during the World War II;
  • Carlos Palanca (Tan Quien Sien) Memorial – a Chinese Filipino leader and businessman during the colonial period; and
  • Ruby Tower Memorial
The tour guide inside the cemetery will explain everything from the past history up to the present  so if you have some questions, better ask him. He knows everything .


How to get to Manila Chinese Cemetery:


You can either take a Jeepney, LRT, taxi cab or private cars.
Jeepney:  Ride the Monumento – Baclaran Trip and tell the jeepney driver to drop you off in Manila Chinese Cemetery.
LRT:  (better ask the people in the Station)
Taxi: Just tell the driver to drop you off to Manila Chinese Cemetery.
